An Artistic Response to the Pandemic.
‘Courage’ created by Other Voices in conjunction with Tiny Ark, was an artistic response to the COVID-19 crisis.
Creative work to design and deliver a series of remote live concerts began as the first wave of Covid-19 lockdown measures were introduced in Ireland. 'Courage' was designed to deliver uplifting and inspiring performances from Irish artists, to bring people together and to create connection and engagement between artists and the public in Ireland and globally.
The challenge of bringing a production such as this together during the first few weeks of the Covid crisis was significant, but we found new ways of working and adapting that were designed to create a fresh vision of what live broadcast performances could look like, while keeping everyone on set safe. Performances were beamed live directly into homes worldwide via web based streaming from a number of iconic locations such as The National Gallery of Ireland.
Courage demonstrated the power of music, song and brilliant performances to collapse distance in this time of isolation and bring people together.
